TERM 2

Week 4

Hi my name is Jerry. Sadly, I lost my twin brother Bob two days ago in the

washing machine. He looks exactly like me. Please let me know if you find

him:(  Now let me tell you about my story. So one day me and Bob were

just playing around and then this girl called Emma noticed we were kind of

smelly so she threw us in the wash . Usually this is our favourite time of the

week because we come out all fresh and clean (not smelly) but this time I

lost sight of my brother. Then, I saw the sock monster - aaarghh!  The sock

monster took my brother and Kelly (Bob’s best friend) but I could not help

them because then the sock monster would have taken me too. So when I

got out of the wash I felt very lonely and I just knew where I was going next.

Once I was dry Emma carried me to the lost sock drawer. One of my friends

had been there once. He said it was full of gangsters who hurt you unless

you join their team. My heart thumped so loud that I thought it was going to

jump out of my bottom. Then plop! I fell into the drawer …

WEEK 3

Small Folk

The morning air weaves through the grass as the flower petals fall off and flutter to the ground. The cosy cottage right in front of me being one of the old wooden cottages I know. As I slowly walk to it the blue door creaks open. I walk inside it smells of hot chocolate like you have on a cold winter's day. My body shivers as damp air rushes through the cottage. The moment I shut the door there is no sound. I open it back up to hear the beautiful whistling of the birds. I love the cottage. It's like home sweet home.

Charlie (Room 30) created this amazing Poppy art. Look at the texture created by overlapping paper.

In China, one school is letting students design their own social distancing hats. They have to be 1 metre long, so that the students know how far away from each other they have to be.This is Isaac's (Room 30) design for a hat. Check out the unicorn!

Nessa's (Room 30) shadow drawing. Look at the depth created by the shadow.

THURSDAY 23 APRIL

WEDNESDAY 22 APRIL

Lucky us, as Ruby Francis-Simpson of Room 18 shares her '100 words'

Beep beep! My alarm clock suddenly interrupts my dream about being lost in the
jungle. I’m glad my alarm went off. It was 1 in the morning. I climbed out of bed
while the rest of my family was still sleeping. I grabbed my iPad from beneath my
bed and plugged my headphones in so nobody would hear me. I turned it onto my
favourite show called Fanimals. It was about 6 in the morning when I woke up.
My Dad was standing at my doorway with his hands on his hips, it looked like I
was in big trouble…

Benjamin from Room 19 also shared his 100 word story.

Was this really the only dragon left? The small dragon sat in front of Max, staring at him intently. It looked like a ball of fire, with big wings and a long silky tail. Max had found him in the woods, lost. Max realised he had to hide the dragon. If not, the dragon would be kicked out of the house. He tried to hide him in the cupboard but whenever he put his foot down there would be a SMASH. After seven minutes they found the perfect spot, ‘To the attic!’ Suddenly there was a knock at the door...
